Outrageous Fortune & Go Girls Diversity
***SPOILERS FOR BOTH OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE AND GO GIRLS. WILL TALK ABOUT BOTH SHOWS IN ORDER SO YOU CAN SKIP ONE SECTION IF YOU HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE OF THE SHOWS*** I'll start with Outrageous Fortune first Ok to start with i enjoyed Outrageous Fortune. It's like a mix of Shameless (UK) and The Sopranos with a solid cast of characters. Its nice that we have 4 major characters of Color (6 if you count Tracy in the first 2 seasons and Angel in the last 2 seasons) and 2 of them being Indigenous Maori characters (plus I liked how both this and the other show I'm mentioning how casual it is. I wish to see more casual rep of Indigenous characters here in shows and books in the US) Although there is some issues 1. Kasey's specific ethnicity is never mentioned. It is mentioned she is Polynesian but the actress (Nicole Whippy) is Fijian (which is a Melanesian country) and while this isn't the biggest issue it would have been nice to see some rep for Fijian viewers to relate to
