The Autistic Queer Media Dude

 *SPOILERS FOR NIP/TUCK*  Ok in one show I am currently watching there is a questionable storyline with a gay character which I am giving the benefit of the doubt for now. But it reminded me of a storyline in Nip/Tuck the tackles similar subject matter but does it right (in my view at least)  In one of the later seasons a character in the medical family drama Liz Cruz, who is a queer woman has a emotional fling with Christian Troy (One of the two main leads) and even marries him but.....like many of his relationships, it doesn't work out.  Now here's why an obviously problematic sounding storyline is done right and her thought provoking about the idea of sexual fluidity  Now what is sexual fluidity, the idea that anyone can be capable of being attracted to anyone. Now this isn't saying that sexual identities aren't real or that anyone shouldn't have them.  *SPOILERS FOR POWER* Okay I have finished the Starz crime soap opera oh wait i mean drama Power To get one good thing about the show. It is good in racial & ethnic diversity. The cast is majority Black and Latino which is good for a premium network show (Though besides that not much else ethnic groups besides Mak, the show's basically token Asian character beside a East Asian mob that pops up in S2 or S3) Now why do i think the queer representation in the show is bad Well for starters all 3 major queer characters are in antagonistic roles. All three are Queer People of Color. And two of them die (Yup the bury your gays trope) and the third is only revealed as a lesbian (which was good in itself cause of how casual it was) in the last season because the writers figured that they barely had any queer characters.
